This urban ride is so much fun! It takes us through the parks, greenways, and scenic residential streets of Brooklyn and Queens to Rosedale, which is on the border of Queens and Nassau County. Bay House, our lunch spot, is right under the flight path into JFK. Planes flying into JFK are coming in for a landing and flying so low it is said that you can see the pilots’ name tags through cockpit windows. Finally, a chance to check things out from the other side of that airplane window. There is a sign on the waterfront dock warning of crocodiles in the water although no one knows if this is true or where they came from.
The return trip takes us through 5 Towns before catching the Rockaway Beach boardwalk with fabulous ocean views, to the Rockaway NYC Ferry return at Beach 108.
